  • Recent Projects:

    • Full review and improvement to older wiped film still system.

    • Distillation process redevelopment. The process throughput was doubled by dramatically adjusting process parameters.

    • Distillation process redevelopment. The process was producing colored, low potency product. After determining root cause, the process was adjusted to produce first pass material of good color and potency.

    • Live Webinar, On demand webinar and on-site class: 31 students taught in the last year using various formats. All trained in developing and running efficient distillations.

    • Equipment sale: Assisted in connecting parties in used equipment sale.

    • I have worked with many applications including polymers, lubricants, absorbents, cannabinoids, flavor, fragrance, essential oils, polyglycerides, tocopherols, food, animal fats, vegetable oils, synthetic oils, and many others.

  • Other Experience

    • Previous to my time at Pope, I worked for 16 years in chemical and pharmaceutical production in many roles. I worked as an operator, chemist and production manager. I used reactors, filters, oven dryers, rotovaps and many other standard pieces of chemical production equipment.
